Elizabeth grew up in Edenton, North Carolina. She graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a teaching certificate. After teaching middle and high school social studies, Elizabeth obtained her Masters of Education in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University and worked with WCPSS for over 30 years.
Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and has extensive experience training, coaching, teaching and volunteering in the community. In addition to her role with Flip Consulting & Counseling, Elizabeth works at Project Enlightenment as a parent counselor. Elizabeth enjoys the challenge of using current best-practice techniques and theory to support children and families in ways that are relevant to them. She desires to meet families, children, and adolescents where they are, building on strengths to facilitate growth.
Elizabeth lives in Raleigh with her husband, daughter, son and dog. She enjoys practicing yoga, exercising and singing in her spare time.
